Η Apple ξεκίνησε πριν από λίγη ώρα την διανομή των εκδόσεων iOS 17.1 και iPadOS 17.1, δηλαδή τις πρώτες μεγάλες ενημερώσεις του λειτουργικού συστήματος για iPhone και iPad μετά το λανσάρισμα του iOS 17 τον περασμένο Σεπτέμβριο.
Ανάμεσα στις επιδιορθώσεις και τα νέα χαρακτηριστικά συμπεριλαμβάνεται η επίλυση του προβλήματος με τις «καμμένες» οθόνες, αλλά και του ζητήματος με την εκπομπή υψηλότερης από το επιτρεπτό όριο ακτινοβολίας για τα iPhone 12 χάριν στην απενεργοποίηση μιας λειτουργίας ενίσχυσης του σήματος όταν δεν κρατά την συσκευή ο χρήστης στα χέρια του.
Σε άλλα χαρακτηριστικά ξεχωρίζει η υποστήριξη μεταφοράς μεγάλων αρχείων από την σύνδεση του τοπικού δικτύου όταν ξεπερνιέται η εμβέλεια του AirDrop, καθώς και ο βελτιωμένος συγχρονισμός του Screen Time μεταξύ των διάφορων συσκευών που χρησιμοποιεί ο χρήστης με το ίδιο Apple ID. Επίσης, η εφαρμογή Apple Music προσφέρει πλέον τη δυνατότητα να ορίσεις ως αγαπημένα τραγούδια, άλμπουμ και playlists, ενώ εμφανίζονται προτάσεις για νέα τραγούδια στο τέλος κάθε λίστας.
Ειδικά για το iPadOS 17.1 προστέθηκε η υποστήριξη για το νέο Apple Pencil που ανακοινώθηκε επίσημα την περασμένη εβδομάδα.

– Improved reliability of Screen Time settings syncing across devices
– Fixes an issue that may cause the Significant Location privacy setting to reset when transferring an Apple Watch or pairing it for the first time
– Resolves an issue where the names of incoming callers may not appear when you are on another call
– Addresses an issue where custom and purchased ringtones may not appear as options for your text tone
– Fixes an issue that may cause the keyboard to be less responsive
– Crash detection optimizations (all iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 models)
– Fixes an issue that may cause display image persistence
